About the Challenge - short version

Every minute, an area larger than three football pitches is lost from the Amazon rainforest.

There is something you, your students and your school can do. Join us – Sky, Global Action Plan and WWF – on a great adventure.

The Sky Rainforest Rescue Schools Challenge is part of Sky and WWF’s campaign to save one billion trees in the Amazon rainforest and tackle climate change.

You'll explore the rainforests with your students - online, interactively - and discover how the food we eat, the stuff we buy and the energy we use affects the rainforests, and what you can do about it.

We're delighted to annouce our Team of the Month - Groovy Gorillas from Biggar Primary School in Lanarkshire. They have made a brilliant start to the Challenge in 2013 and have taken some great actions, including delivering an assembly, designing board games, raising money to adpot a tiger and making sure they know exactly how much energy their school uses! Well done to you all and the best of luck with the rest of the Challenge!
