Competition Winners Announced!

After months of hard work by hundreds of school students committed to saving the rainforest, the Sky Rainforest Rescue Schools Challenge finally came to a close on Friday 14th June.

We received a huge number of entries from schools across the UK, the standard of which was extremely high. Last week our expert judges chose the winning teams so we are delighted to announce who they are.

Grand Prize Winners

We are delighted to announce the Grand Prize winning team is The Rhymney Jaguars from Rhymney Comprehensive School in Caerphilly!

The team has won £1,000 for their school as well as an all-expenses paid trip to Sky Skills Studios in London to film their own rainforest news story!

National Regional Winners

As well as our overall grand prize winner from Wales, the judges chose two top teams from Scotland and England who both receive £500.

•    Our Scottish winning entry was The Lightning Swans from Lochdonhead Primary School on the Isle of Mull.

•    Our English winning entry was The Paper Pact from St Leonard’s RC Comprehensive in Durham.

The judges were so impressed by the Competition entries they also chose to award an additional Highly Commended Prize of £500 to Gooooo Green from Colneis Junior School in Felixstowe.
